The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a 1-year, $3.3 million contract with free agent wing Matisse Thybulle.
Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and New York Post about the agreement Monday. The guard/forward is a two-time All-Defense Team selection. He also made nearly 40% of his 3-point attempts last season for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Thybulle, 29, totaled 5.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.9 assists per game over 30 appearances in 2025-26. The 6-foot-5, 202-pound guard/forward averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.1 assists per game over the first 377 appearances of his career.
He made 34.9% of his 3-point attempts over that span.
Thybulle was selected by the Boston Celtics as the No. 20 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but traded the next day to the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers traded Thybulle to the Trail Blazers in 2023.
The Trail Blazers signed Thybulle to a three-year, $33 million contract with the Trail Blazers in 2023. He played on an $11.5 million player option last season.
