The Philadelphia 76ers agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million contract with free agent guard Anfernee Simons.

Sources told ESPN, The Athletic and the Philadelphia Inquirer about the agreement Thursday afternoon. Simons split last season between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics.

The eight-year veteran averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game over 55 appearances last season. He joined the Bulls in February through a trade with the Celtics.

Simons, 27, totaled a career-high 22.6 points, 5.5 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game over 46 starts in 2023-24 for the Portland Trail Blazers. He entered the league as the No. 24 overall pick by the Trail Blazers in the 2018 NBA Draft.
