Barcelona's Raphinha out for five weeks with hamstring injury

Barcelona winger Raphinha was diagnosed with a right hamstring injury and is expected to miss at least five weeks, the Spanish La Liga soccer franchise announced Friday.

Raphinha sustained the injury in the first half Brazil’s 2-1 loss to France in a friendly Thursday in Foxborough, Mass. He did not play in the second half.

“The player is returning to Barcelona to begin the appropriate treatment,” Barcelona said.

Raphinha totaled 19 goals and seven assists over 31 appearances this season. He injured the same hamstring on two previous occasions during the 2025-26 campaign.

Barcelona (24-4-1) sits in first place the La Liga standings, with a four-point lead on second place Real Madrid (22-4-3). The La Liga leaders will take on fourth-place Atletico Madrid (17-6-6) on April 4 in Madrid.

Brazil will meet Croatia in another friendly at 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday in Orlando, Fla.
